Adding VDB770 Doorbell to Alarm.com User Guide

1. Connect the Video Doorbell to the Network

  1. Press and hold the doorbell button for 45-50 seconds and release when the LED turns to blinking white
  2. Using your smartphone or computer, go to the WiFi settings and find and connect to the doorbell’s network; the SSID should have the format ADC-VDB770 (XX:YY:ZZ) where XX:YY:ZZ is the last 6 characters of the doorbell’s MAC address
  3. On the same device, open a web browser and enter http://vdb770install in the web address field. Follow the on-screen instructions to add the ADC-VDB770 to the Wi-Fi network. Verify the LED turns solid green, indicating the connection is complete

2. Enroll the Video Doorbell to the Account

  1. Login to the Alarm.com app OR web browser www.blusky.com.au/login
  2. From the menu go to Video > Settings > Add New Video Device
  3. Select the Video Doorbell from the video device list or enter in its MAC address to begin adding the device
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish adding the device

3. Create Button-press Notifications

Via the Alarm.com app

  1. TapĀ 
  2. TapĀ 
  3. Tap to select the desired doorbell camera.
  4. In Automation, tap Setup Doorbell Call Notifications
  5. Tap Add
  6. Tap Doorbell Call
  7. Name the notification
  8. In For the selected devices, tap to select the desired doorbell camera
  9. In When the Following Event Occurs, tap to select Motion, Button Pushed, or both
  10. In During This Time Frame, tap to select At all times or Only during the following times to choose a schedule for the doorbell camera to follow
  11. In Notification Filtering, tap to select the desired filters
  12. In Recipients, tap Add
  13. In the Address Book, tap to select the recipients to notify, or tap New Contact to add a new Address Book recipient
    Note: It is recommended to use a push notification (i.e., recipients with a phone icon next to their description) rather than an email or text notification. Users can answer a doorbell call directly through the push notification
  14. Verify the notification is configured with the correct settings
  15. Tap Save


Via the Web Browser

  1. From the home page, click Notifications
  2. Click New Notification
  3. Click Doorbell Call
  4. In For the selected devices, click to select the desired device
  5. Click to select Button Pushed
  6. In During This Time Frame, click to select At all times or Only during the following times to choose a schedule for the doorbell camera to follow
  7. In Notification Filtering, click to select the desired filters
  8. In Recipients, click Add
  9. In the Address book, click to select the recipients to notify, or click New to add a new Address Book recipient
    Note: It is recommended to use a push notification (i.e., recipients with a phone icon next to their description) rather than an email or text notification. Users can answer a doorbell call directly through the push notification
  10. Click Close
  11. Verify the notification is configured with the correct settings
  12. Click Save

4. Create a Video Analytics Rule
